Printing Practice
Happy Thought School uses the Handwriting without Tears program. When children can form their letters in an efficient manner it makes the writing process so much easier. Below you will find the correct formation for each letter along with the language we use regarding the formation. (The letters are in alphabetical order!)
Lots of play activities will help develop a child's fine motor skills which will in turn make printing easier.
- threading and lacing beads, cereal etc.
- playing with Lego
- sand and water play
- using tongs and tweezers
- play dough
- puzzles
- draw, colour and paint
- cutting with scissors
- playing with nuts and bolts
